What is SisterPlay.com? We believe it is one of the largest, if not the largest, compilations of Southwest Georgia Resources on the Internet. And its target audience is the entire Southwest Georgia region--not just one town or city, as well as anyone else in the world who is interested in the Southwest Georgia area. We have been very impressed by the quality of the web resources that we believe we have made easier for you to find--although we had absolutely no hand in their development. That would be the collaborative effort of the specified businesses and their web designer team. We are hoping that you will be equally as dazzled by the quality of these resources.
Who are the SisterPlay.com staff? We are a group of people who love our work and are dedicated to utilizing our God-given talents to their fullest. Collectively, we have experience ranging from workforce development to hospitality, education in areas such as public relations, training and education to electronic technology. Everyone has another full-time job, but on the side we are doing this, and we are having a ball.
The
original concept for this website was YouthPlay, hence the name of
business--YouthPlay, Inc. We certainly consider it to
be a cornerstone of the website but as you can see, YouthPlay is just one piece of
what we have put together. SisterPlay.com is what you get when you bring
together a group of
people who have a dream, love each other, love what they do, and are using their
God-given talents to their fullest. It is also what you get when you
listen to the feedback from the community. Today, there are five major parts of SisterPlay.com:
SisterPlay--(www.sisterplay.com). It is where we share ourselves with you and ask you to share yourselves with us. Most of our staff members are women who have dealt with or are dealing with the issues of children, education, religion, business, career, marriage, divorce, death and a number of other issues that many people who may or may not be women are dealing with. We have a diverse staff and we are hoping that we can provide dialogue that is helpful in building positive community relations as well. We are hoping that by sharing who we are and how we feel about things that we can help each other. And we are hoping we can have a little fun and provide meaningful education while doing so. The centerpiece of this section is definitely the Southwest Georgia Community Forum--a discussion board where members of the community can voice their thoughts and ideas either anonymously or named.
YouthPlay--(www.youthplay.org). We are attempting to harness some of the most useful resources on the Internet and make them easily accessible to young people and their keepers all over this country. The Internet is full of resources and YouthPlay gives one a glance into the possibilities of using these resources to their fullest in the development of young people. Visit all the sites and tell us what you like and don’t like. Then go out and find us some new ones. In a time when dollars are tight in our schools, our programs, and our households, these free resources can certainly help ease the cost of our children's learning. In addition, we have compiled some of the best financial aid resources for Southwest Georgia students as well as students around the country.
We hope this site will be as interesting and helpful to you as it has been exciting and wonderful to us. We realize that we will not be successful without your feedback on current links and recommendations for new links, feedback on website content, telling others about the site, or your making visiting the website a part of your day. We also will not be successful without the support of our advertisers in the menus online, business directory, classified section and throughout the website, so please take advantage of their services and products. In other words, we are inviting you to become a part of our dream. Come in, come often and have a wonderful time.
