Blue Web'n is an online library of learning sites categorized by subject, grade level, and format . You can search by grade level, broad subject area, or specific-subcategories. Each week new sites are added. You can get a list and description of these additions sent to you by signing up for free weekly updates.

Columbia Education Center Math Lesson Plans
This group of lesson plans came
from the Columbia Education Center's Summer Workshops. They were done by a
consortium of teachers from 14 states dedicated to improving the quality of
education in the rural, western, United States, particularly the quality of math
and science education.
From the National Endowment for the Humanities in partnership with the National Trust for the Humanities, and the MarcoPolo Education Foundation, this educational partnership brings online humanities resources from some of the world's great museums, libraries, cultural institutions, and universities directly to your classroom or home.

Education World-- The Educator's Best Friend
Education World is a place where teachers can gather and share ideas. The website was designed in an effort to create a complete online resource where educators could start each day to find the lesson plans and research materials they were looking for. Highlights of the site include: a search engine for educational Web sites only, a place where educators can find information without searching the entire Internet; original content, including lesson plans, practical information for educators, information on how to integrate technology in the classroom, and articles written by education experts; website reviews; and daily features and columns. Helping Children Succeed in School
Children spend about 1,000 hours per year in school. So, helping children enjoy learning and being successful in school is an important goal for parents, other family members, and schools. It takes two major institutions, the home and the school, working together to successfully educate the child. Helping Children Succeed in School is a program written by University of Illinois Extension educators that gives successful strategies for parents and caregivers to help their children succeed in school.

KidSpace @ The Internet Public Library
The Internet Public Library is a public service organization and a learning/teaching environment at the University of Michigan School of Information. In addition to KidSpace, the website features a TeenSpace section. This website contains resources for grades Pre-K thru 12.
Here you'll find excellent resources for teaching math at all levels. The website is marketed as being a space not only for teachers, but having also been built in part by teachers. The site also features a discussion group and newsletter for teachers, parents and researchers.

Southwest Georgia Community Forum Discussion Board
This is a place to discuss your thoughts regarding education, career, the hottest movie or CD, this website, or anything else that might be on your mind. We also believe it is a wonderful place for young people to practice their writing and discussion skills in an non-intimidating environment. Although, we feel the Southwest Georgia Forum is a safe and educational resource for the entire community, we feel it can best be used with adult oversight.

YouthPlay, Inc. College Exploration Exercise![]()
The background on this exercise can be found in our series "Your Child and the Georgia Public Education System-- A Partnership" (Part III). This exercise is designed to give youth the opportunity to explore colleges of their choice. Using the tools found in the Career Development section of YouthPlay, young people can take online tours of colleges, access admission requirements and get an idea of the costs involved.
